Under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 employers are required to provide eye care to their employees who work in certain roles.
Barbara Watson is an Optometrist who has over forty year‘s experience in the profession working in both independent practice and hospital eye departments. Barbara now supplies mobile care in the corporate and home environments.
We can organize an eye care package to suit your particular needs and budget, regardless of the number of staff. We are happy to visit your premises and supply the necessary eye care and we are fully equipped and experienced in this role.
Do you use VDU‘s or Display screen equipment? We offer a competitive range of complete price spectacles.
All our frame prices include frames, lenses, hard case, cloth, fitting and after care service. The spectacles will be delivered when ready, by Barbara Watson, to ensure they fit properly. If they are solely for VDU use then your employer will help to pay for them. We can supply lenses with anti reflection properties to prevent visual fatigue and reflections from the screen and thereby reduce these symptoms.

all of which we can advise on and suggest possible ways of improvement. If you wish to have a wider choice of frames and lenses then you can use your employer‘s contribution towards the cost of these spectacles.

The safety glasses are available with prescription lenses, with many different lens options to get the best possible correction for your requirements so there is no need to wear goggles over your own spectacles which have a tendency to steam up or become heavy to wear.
